What are the hours of operation for the Box Office window?

Normal hours during fall and spring semesters are Monday – Friday 10am – 7pm* and closed on Saturday* and Sunday*.  Adjusted hours will occur during the summer and university holidays.  
*For most events, the box office will open 1 hour before the event start time and close 15 minutes after the start time. 

How can I purchase tickets?

You can purchase tickets in person at our Box Office, over the phone at (979)845-1234, or online.

Are there additional fees when I purchase tickets?

No additional fees are added when purchasing in person at the box office.  Phone orders have a flat $3 fee added to each order.  Online orders have a per ticket convenience fee added that varies by the ticket price.  All package and single ticket orders placed for OPAS shows during the priority seating sales window (summer) will have a $15 packaging fee applied. 

Do you offer student discounts?

Student prices vary for each event, but generally a discounted price is offered to most events and must be requested at the time of purchase. For most events the student price applies to students of all ages, from pre-school to grad students. Please check the info page of the event or call the box office for pricing on a specific event.

Does my child need a ticket?

Children age 2 and under do not need a ticket if they sit in your lap. Children age 3 and up or anyone that will be sitting in a seat will require a ticket.

Can you hold tickets for me until I pay for them later?

We do not hold tickets without payment. Will Call is reserved for tickets that have been paid for and are to be picked up at a later date.

What is Will Call delivery?

Will Call is a delivery option where you pick your tickets up in person at the box office. This is often times the only delivery option offered if the event is less than 10 days away. Tickets can be picked up anytime during our business hours from the moment of purchase until 15 minutes after the event starts. Please bring your order confirmation with you when picking up your tickets.

When do the doors open before an event?

For most events the doors to the venue will open 30 minutes before the event begins.

Do you have a wait list if tickets for the price range or show that I want are sold out?

No, we do not have a wait list for sold out shows or price levels. We advise that you get your tickets as far in advance as possible or call our Box Office at (979)845-1234 regarding the availability of tickets for the production you would like to attend.

Can I get a discount if I bring a group?

MSC OPAS and the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra offer group prices to some events. Call the box office at (979)845-1234 and ask to speak to a manager for more info.

Can I purchase a season subscription over the phone?

MSC OPAS Season Tickets can be purchased through the box office by phone at (979)845-1234. BVSO Season tickets can be purchased by calling their offices at (979)696-6100.

What types of payment do you accept?

The MSC Box Office accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We ask that you do not send cash in the mail for security reasons. 

How can I redeem a voucher or gift card for tickets?

Gift cards are only valid for events sponsored by MSC OPAS and can be redeemed in person at the box office or by phone.  Vouchers for free tickets can only be redeemed in person at the box office.  

Can I exchange my tickets if my plans change?

MSC OPAS Season Ticket holders may exchange their ticket to the same event on a different night if availability allows. There is a No Refund/No Exchange policy for all other tickets.

If I decide I no longer want to attend a show, can I get a refund?

No, there is a No Refund/No Exchange policy.  All sales are final. 

Do you have accessible seating in your venues?

Wheelchair spaces and companion seats are available in Rudder Theatre and Auditorium. Patrons may purchase these seats online, in person or over the phone. In Rudder Auditorium, the wheelchair landing is located along the aisle on Row H. Wheelchair seating and companion seating is also available in the Director's Box on the second floor.  
In the Theatre, wheelchair spaces and companion seats are located on Row A in the front and on Row P in the back. 

Where is the best place to drop someone off?

There is a 15 minute Free Parking and Drop-Off Zone directly in front of Rudder Tower. Enter campus from George Bush Drive and turn onto Houston Street.  Continue on Houston Steet past Kyle Field and the University Center Garage to the stop sign.  Turn Right and then immediately on your left, you will see a drop off zone with temporary parking.  

Is the content of your shows child-appropriate?

The MSC Box Office does not sponsor any events. Although the Box Office tries to be knowledgeable about all the events for which it provides ticketing services, questions or concerns about specific program content should be directed to the sponsoring organization.
