Quick Answers to Common Questions About the MSC Box Office.

What are the hours of operation for the Box Office window?
Normal hours are Monday – Friday 10am – 7pm*.  Closed on Saturday* and Sunday*. 

*During most events, the box office will open 1 hour before the event start time and close 15 minutes after the start time.

Adjusted hours will occur around University Holidays.  Click HERE for up-to-date hours.  

 

How can I purchase tickets?
You can purchase tickets in person at our Box Office, over the phone at (979)845-1234, or online.   
 
Are there additional fees when I purchase tickets?
If you buy your tickets at the box office, any additional fees will be waived. There is a $3 convenience fee for phone orders.  Convenience fees vary by ticket price for online sales.

 

Do you offer student discounts?

Student prices vary for each event, but generally a discounted price is offered to most events and must be requested at the time of purchase.  For most events the student price applies to students of all ages, from pre-school to grad students.  Please check the info page of the event or call the box office for pricing on a specific event.  

 

Does my child need a ticket?

Children age 2 and under do not need a ticket if they sit in your lap.  Children age 3 and up or anyone that will be sitting in a seat will require a ticket.

 

Can you hold tickets for me until I come pay for them in person?
We do not hold tickets without payment. Our Will Call is reserved for tickets that have been purchased and are to be picked up at a later date.

 

What does Will Call mean?

Will Call is a delivery option where you pick your tickets up in person at the box office.  This is often times the only delivery option offered if the event is less than 8 days away.  Tickets can be picked up anytime during our business hours from the moment of purchase until 15 minutes after the event starts.  Please bring your order confirmation with you when picking up your tickets.

 

When do the doors open before an event?

For most events the doors to the venue will open 30 minutes before the event begins.  
 
Do you do any sort of wait list if tickets for the price range or show that I want are sold out?
No, we do not have a wait list for sold out shows or price levels.  We advise that you get your tickets as far in advance as possible or call our Box Office at (979)845-1234 regarding the availability of tickets for the production you would like to attend.
 
Can I get a discount if I bring a group?
MSC OPAS and the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra offer group prices to some events.  Call the box office at (979)845-1234 and ask to speak to a manager for more info.   

 

Can I purchase a season subscription over the phone?
MSC OPAS Season Tickets can be purchased through the box office by phone at (979)845-1234.  BVSO Season tickets can be purchased by calling their offices at (979)696-6100. 

 

What types of payment do you accept?
The MSC Box Office accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.  We ask that you do not send cash in the mail for security reasons.
 
I have vouchers or a gift card. How can I redeem them for tickets?
All vouchers and gift cards may be redeemed in person at the box office.  Gift cards are only valid for purchasing events sponsored by MSC OPAS.   
 
Can I exchange my tickets if my plans change?
MSC OPAS Season Ticket holders may exchange their ticket to the same event on a different night if availability allows.  There is a No Refund/No Exchange policy for all other tickets. 
 
If I decide I no longer want to attend a show, can I get a refund?
No, there is a No Refund/No Exchange policy on all sales.
 
Do you have accessible seating in your venues?
Every venue is accessible for any number of requirements.  Please call the box office at (979)845-1234 to allow us to meet your individual requirements.
 
Where is the best place to drop someone off?
There is a 15 minute Free Parking and Drop-Off Zone directly in front of Rudder Tower.  Take Houston Street off of George Bush Drive and follow it past Kyle Field and the University Center Garage to Rudder Tower.

 

Is the content of your shows child appropriate?

The MSC Box Office does not sponsor any events. Although the Box Office tries to be knowledgeable about all the events for which it provides ticketing services, questions or concerns about specific program content should be directed to the sponsoring organization.
